Ali Joins the Voice Cast of Netflix’s "Bass X Machina"

Ali is heading to the Wild West. Well, a steampunk, supernatural version of it, anyway. He lends his voice to Bass X Machina, a new animated series premiering November 3rd, 2026 on Netflix. The show comes from South Korea’s Studio Mir, and the voice cast is stacked: Brian Tyree Henry, Janelle Monáe, Tati Gabrielle and Cree Summer, to name a few. Ali’s in good company, and he knows it.

So what’s the show? It’s set in a lawless Steampunk West full of outlaws, machines and supernatural threats. At the center is a father who has to act as judge, jury and executioner to protect his family, and he risks losing the people he loves most by doing it. Gritty Western, steampunk flair, a little supernatural danger. Ali appears in the series in an additional voices capacity, bringing several characters to life throughout the show and helping flesh out its strange and dangerous world. It's another exciting credit for an actor whose voice work spans animation, video games, and audiobooks.

While this marks his latest venture into animation, Nasser is no stranger to the booth. During his years in Egypt, he dubbed Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Stitch in Arabic. He's also narrated more than 20 audiobooks and voiced characters in video games, Fallout 76 being the best known. Clearly, he's developed a knack for being a lot of different people without having to add makeup or change his outfit.

Ali would like to thank the Bass X Machina production team for bringing him on board and trusting him to contribute to the show's world and its many characters. Special thanks go to his agents at CESD (Marla Weber Green and Taylor Jaenicke) for booking him on the project.

Here’s the ask: Shows like this live or die on early viewership, and streaming platforms notice who shows up and how fast. So if you’ve ever wanted to support Ali, now’s the time. Watch it when it drops on November 3. Add it to your list today so it’s waiting for you. Tell a friend. Press play on the first episode and see where it takes you. And if you hear a voice that sounds familiar, that’s probably him. Good luck figuring out which one. 😉
